Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Warehouse Laborer, where your energy and dedication will drive our distribution operations forward! In this vital role, you'll be responsible for supporting inventory management, handling materials with precision, and ensuring smooth shipping and receiving processes, grounds maintenance, and general labor tasks. Your proactive approach will help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in heavy equipment operation, warehouse management systems, and materials handling while contributing to a fast-paced distribution operation. Duties Assist with inventory control by accurately stocking, picking, packing, and organizing products using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS). Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload shipments safely and efficiently. Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, preparing items for dispatch, and maintaining detailed records. Conduct materials handling tasks, including heavy lifting, palletizing loads, and using mechanical knowledge to ensure proper packaging and storage. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to OSHA standards, performing safety inspections, and reporting hazards promptly. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall workflow. Assist in manufacturing or construction-related tasks as needed to support overall warehouse operations. Support various departments and perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned. Perform grounds maintenance duties, including cutting grass and keeping exterior areas clean and presentable. Follow company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods. Basic organizational and communication skills. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Previous warehouse or general labor experience preferred but not required. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Prior warehouse experience is highly preferred Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment and warehouse machinery is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail for order fulfillment, stock accuracy, and inventory control. Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment. Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and operate equipment for extended periods during busy shifts.
