Oberlin, OH Weekly Pay with direct deposit or pay card Temporary 3-month assignment with an established horticulture and production operation When you work through The Reserves Network, you are eligible to enroll in dental, vision and medical insurance as well as 401(k), direct deposit and the referral bonus program Job Description A growing horticulture and production operation is seeking a General Laborer to support plant preparation, production, and shipping activities. In this hands-on role, you will work with nursery plants and flowers while assisting with planting, order preparation, material handling, and general facility upkeep. This position involves indoor and outdoor work in varying seasonal temperatures and requires the ability to stay productive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare seedlings and plants by potting, filling and labeling trays, and moving products to designated areas. Assemble customer orders and organize products for loading and shipment. Move plants and materials using rolling or electric carts, conveyors, and other approved equipment. Install and maintain irrigation systems and water lines as assigned. Maintain clean and organized work areas by clearing debris and assisting with general facility and equipment upkeep.
Qualifications and Requirements:
At least 3 months of nursery, manufacturing, assembly, shipping, or receiving experience Must be at least 18 years old Ability to lift items/products up to 50 pounds and push/pull carts weighing up to 200 pounds Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, and work for extended periods while standing Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and perform manual tasks accurately and efficiently Willingness to work in varying seasonal temperatures, including hot summer and cold winter conditions Flexibility to work Saturdays during peak season and additional hours as dictated by the daily schedule Reliable transportation, good attendance, and adherence to safety policies and procedures Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
