Job Description

Job Title:
General Laborer - 1st shift $19 to $20 an hour Job Description As a General Laborer, you will perform a range of tasks within the shop, ensuring that each day brings new challenges and opportunities. Your duties will include sweeping shop floors, properly discarding scrap, moving large scrap containers with a forklift, supporting the shipping and receiving department, making cuts on saws for the welding team, deburring parts, and working in the paint booth by blasting, priming, and painting. Responsibilities Sweep shop floors and properly discard scrap. Move large scrap containers with forklift. Support the shipping and receiving department by packaging and labeling. Make cuts on saw for welding team. Deburr parts as needed. Work in paint booth by blasting, priming, and painting. Essential Skills Ability to perform shop math, including adding and subtracting decimals and fractions. Ability to read tape measure down to the 32nd. At least 6 months of experience in a manufacturing setting requiring physical lifting. Operation of hand and power tools. Valid drivers license Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in blasting, priming, and painting in a paint booth is a plus. Sit down forklift experience is a plus. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is non-climate controlled, meaning it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, but it is well-lit. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
