Full Job Description Job Purpose:
The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient and timely movement, storage, and organization of materials within the warehouse or production facility. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that materials are available for production processes and that inventory levels are maintained accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies against purchase orders and packing lists. Safely and efficiently load and unload materials from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Organize and store materials in designated locations, maintaining an orderly and accessible inventory system. Prepare and stage materials for production, ensuring that all necessary components are available for manufacturing processes. Perform regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to production lines. Assist in the implementation of safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with materials to the appropriate personnel for resolution. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material handling processes and efficiency.

MUST HAVE A VALID/CLEAN DRIVERS LICENSE
Required Experience:
Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. Experience with inventory management systems. Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a material handling setting.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 pounds. Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve material handling issues.
