Role:
The Material Handler plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials within the warehouse and production environments. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products accurately and in a timely manner to support operational needs. The Material Handler will operate various material handling equipment to move goods safely and efficiently, maintaining organization and inventory accuracy. This role requires close collaboration with warehouse teams and production staff to meet shipping and receiving schedules while adhering to safety protocols. Ultimately, the Material Handler contributes to the overall productivity and smooth functioning of the supply chain by managing materials with precision and care.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks. Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving processes. Ability to read and interpret bar codes and labels accurately. Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials safely.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS). Forklift certification or training. Experience supporting assembly line operations. Strong organizational and time management skills.
Responsibilities:
Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts to move materials within the warehouse and production areas. Perform order picking and packing duties accurately to fulfill shipping and receiving requirements. Inspect incoming shipments for quality and quantity, verifying against purchase orders and documentation. Maintain organized storage of materials and products, ensuring proper labeling and bar code scanning for inventory tracking. Assist with assembly line support by delivering materials and components as needed to maintain continuous production flow. Work overtime as required to meet operational deadlines and support peak workload periods. Utilize warehouse management systems to update inventory records and track material movement. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

The required skills such as operating material handling equipment and using pallet jacks and hand trucks are essential for moving materials efficiently and safely throughout the warehouse and production areas. Proficiency in order picking and shipping/receiving processes ensures accurate fulfillment of customer orders and timely processing of incoming goods.
