Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Material Handler plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution center. This position is responsible for the safe and effective handling of materials, ensuring that products are received, stored, and shipped accurately and on time. The Material Handler will operate various types of equipment, including wheel loaders and pallet jacks, to facilitate the movement of goods throughout the facility. Attention to detail is essential, as the role involves order picking and inventory management to maintain accurate stock levels. Ultimately, the Material Handler contributes to the overall productivity and success of the supply chain by ensuring that materials are handled with care and efficiency. Role and ResponsibilitiesOperate material handling equipment such as front-end loaders, wheel loaders, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move products within the warehouse and stock production lines.

Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and ensure proper storage of materials.

Pick and pack orders accurately for shipping, ensuring that all items are correctly labeled and documented.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.

Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies.

Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Follow safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on site. Qualifications and Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.

Proven 2+ years experience in material handling or warehouse operations.

Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Ability to operate a variety of lifts, (forklift, clamp truck, stand-up, Front end loader), and stretch wrap machinery, manual and/or electric hand jack, strapping equipment, bailers/compactor, and core cutterAbility to use precision measuring equipment such as a ruler, tape measure, caliper and micrometerPhysical requirements lift and manipulate unwieldly parts weighing approximately 50 lbs.
