Job Description
Logistics and Warehouse Specialist Genisco Filter is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Logistics and Warehouse Specialist to support material movement between our facility and vendors while assisting with daily warehouse operations. This is a hands-on position that combines driving (non-CDL, no overnight travel) with warehouse responsibilities including shipping, receiving, packaging, staging, and inventory support. What You'll Do As a Logistics and Warehouse Specialist , you will: Safely operate a non-CDL truck and trailer to transport materials to and from vendors. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Load, secure, transport, and unload materials while following established safety procedures. Coordinate scheduled pickups and deliveries to ensure on-time material flow. Maintain accurate transportation logs and delivery documentation. Support warehouse operations by packaging, staging, loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving materials. Assist production and quality teams by ensuring materials are available when needed. Maintain inventory accuracy and help keep warehouse areas organized and clean. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as required. Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding schedules, deliveries, and material status. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Required Must be a U.S. Citizen. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Must be eligible to operate a company-approved vehicle and meet company insurance requirements. Ability to safely operate a truck and trailer (non-CDL). Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical warehouse duties throughout the workday. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a variety of people and personalities. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Basic computer skills, including email and electronic recordkeeping. Ability to quickly learn company systems and technology. Must successfully pass a background check and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review. This is a safety-sensitive position. Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen. Preferred Previous experience operating a truck and trailer. Forklift experience or willingness to become forklift certified. Experience with shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory operations. Experience using ERP systems (such as Syteline), inventory software, shipping systems, barcode scanners, or handheld devices. Safely operate warehouse equipment and material handling devices. Work in a warehouse and outdoor environment during deliveries. Additional Requirements Must comply with all company safety policies and procedures. Must maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record throughout employment. Must remain eligible to operate company vehicles under the company's insurance program. Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review, and drug screen is required.
