The Material Handler is responsible for stocking and delivering parts to production as determined by the schedule. This includes ensuring that materials such as sheet metal, copper, and steel are properly stored and transported within the production facility.Key Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Safely drive and operate a forklift. Stock sheet metal parts and copper. Empty scrap buckets and load up scrap copper. Stack plastic pallets and return them to the vendor. Utilize the IFS system for daily operations, including logging in, reviewing assigned work, and maintaining accurate records Complete and clear IFS shop orders in a timely and accurate manner to support production tracking and reporting Participate in and complete required IFS training to ensure proper system usage and compliance Support and maintain 6S standards within the department to promote organization, cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency Contribute to team effort by working with others and accomplishing related functions. Complete any tasks as assigned by the supervisor/ lead. Comply with government regulations, company policies, and procedures. Work overtime as necessary and attend work as required. Arrive for work on time and charge time accurately in the time and attendance system. Follow manufacturing instructions and work independently with minimal supervision. Care for tools and equipment, advising maintenance of any equipment that is not working properly. Maintain a clean work area as required.Page Break Desired Qualifications:
Education & Experience :
A high school diploma is preferred for this position in order to continue upward advancement in the company. Ability to follow directions from superiors is essential.Skills:
Effective communication and listening skills. Ability to read and comprehend drawings and written instructions. Basic math skills, including the ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16 of an inch. Ability to control equipment operations and assess performance for improvements. Good people skills for teamwork and collaboration. Problem-solving skills to ask for clarification when needed.Certificates, Licenses or Training:

Reports to NAP Supervisor. Must be able to accurately receive, understand, and follow instructions. Collaboration with coworkers is essential for effective teamwork, and the ability to communicate and cooperate with others in the organization is vital.Working Environment:
Work is performed in an industrial production area for a manufacturer of refrigeration and HVAC equipment. Employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, and high noise levels. The work environment also includes exposure to extreme temperatures in both winter and summer. Potential stress may arise from deadlines and product quality standards.
