Loader 2026-08-24
We are currently searching for a Loader I to be based out of the Eugene, OR location. Reporting to the Shipping Manager, this person will be responsible for pulling and packing orders, loading and unloading trucks / flatbeds and making sure the product is secure and safe.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior success as a Loader or equivalent position at Atkore International and experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.
What you'll do:
Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Knows and follows plant safety rules and wears proper PPEKnows and follows yard and dock loading/unloading safety rules and proceduresAble to locate, accurately count, and package products for shipmentInspect products and packaging for damagePackage, palletize and bundle product for shipment using means appropriate for method of transportationProficient with all sorts of material handling and packaging devices including forklifts, pallet jacks, and bandersCycle count productAccurately receive and record inbound freight shipmentsCorrectly identify and put away purchased/manufactured fittingsAware of overstock areasLoad out customer will call's and other docked van freightUnload product from flatbeds and docked van freightAble to correctly tie downloaded flat racksPacking accuracy must be at or exceed an acceptable levelPerform general warehouse duties and cleanupAll other assigned dutiesWhat you'll bring:
High school diploma, or equivalent strongly preferredExcellent interpersonal and communications skillsGood understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculationsHigh attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organizationShows initiativeMust be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical mannerMust be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environmentAble to lift 50 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
Within 3 months, you'll:understand our Safety CultureYou will learn the basic duties of your jobunderstand how to promote to the career ladder progression.
