Warehouse Reach Truck Operator (Order Picking)

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Reach Truck Operator specializing in order picking to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will operate reach trucks and other heavy equipment to efficiently pick, pack, and organize orders within our warehouse distribution center. Your expertise in materials handling, warehouse management systems, and order fulfillment will ensure timely processing of shipments while maintaining safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Operate reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment safely to pick and transport materials across the warehouse. Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to accurately locate, select, and verify inventory for order fulfillment. Perform order picking, packing, stocking, and loading activities to ensure accurate shipment processing. Conduct quality control checks during picking and packing processes to maintain high standards of accuracy. Assist with shipping & receiving functions by unloading inbound materials and preparing outbound shipments. Maintain organized storage areas, ensuring proper placement of stock for efficient retrieval. Support warehouse supervisor in inventory management, stock counts, and cycle counting activities. Experience Proven experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, or other heavy equipment in a warehouse or distribution setting. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory tracking and order picking. Strong understanding of materials handling techniques including load & unload procedures, heavy lifting, and pallet jack operation. Previous experience in order picker roles or warehouse distribution centers is highly desirable. Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes, packaging standards, and quality control protocols. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues is a plus. Prior warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse safety practices is advantageous. $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
