Crater - 1st Shift Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Crater on the 1st shift. This role involves working in a dynamic environment with responsibilities that include using hand and power tools, and assisting in various manufacturing and construction tasks. Responsibilities Build crates using hand and power tools. Operate machinery, including eventually being trained to operate a band saw. Enter shipping information into a computer system. Manage the shop in the absence of the production manager. Perform packaging and kitting tasks. Work with wood products and assist in customer interactions. After permanent hire, drive a box truck and assist with deliveries to other facilities. Essential Skills Experience working with hand tools and power tools. Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment. Competence in using a computer for shipping purposes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in packaging and kitting. The role starts as a contract position with the possibility of becoming permanent if orders remain steady. The position is based in a new facility where you will play a key role in managing the shop during the production manager's absences. You will be one of the few people in the shop, handling the majority of the work independently. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Camp Hill, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
