Horizon Wood Products Looking for a team player to fill a Full-Time laborer opening Horizon Wood Products, located in Kersey, PA is family owned and operated. Workers enjoy four ten-hour work days Monday thru Thursday, day shift only from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm. Horizon employees really like their three day weekends. Responsibilities of the laborer position change according to station. They include, but are not limited to: Stacking lumber with the use of a robotic lifting device Operating the edger and/or trimmer in the sawmill Moving and staging material using forklifts Manually removing stickers during stacking process Being alert for any abnormalities in production and reporting them to supervisor Maintaining a safe and clean environment at all times Light janitorial duties Other tasks as needed To be considered for this laborer position the applicant should be: Able to stand twist and bend throughout the shift Able to lift up to 50 pounds Able to tolerate some temperature extremes as there is some outdoor work involved Able to maintain basic mechanical ability Able to adhere to all safety and housekeeping regulations Able to communicate effectively and be a good team player Horizon is a unique sawmill dealing with a high-quality product. Expectations of all workers are to maintain quality. Team members must pay attention to detail and respect the product.
