Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to assist fabricators with measuring, cutting, welding and riveting various types of flat and coiled stainless steel and copper metals for the construction of custom chimney components, liners and caps. Provide general support to manufacturing & warehouse leads, including lading and unloading materials, preparing parts for welding or assembly, packaging materials, cleaning equipment and assisting with inventory and shipping tasks. Essential Functions Works together on a team to service existing and new customers. Learn and implement procedures for working efficiently and professionally in the shop and office. Consults blueprints, work order, and/or shop drawings to safely construct specified custom chimney caps, chase covers or other related components. Selects appropriate materials for each job based on the specifications. Cuts, bends and shapes sheet metal to required dimensions. Measures, cuts, rivets and/or welds pieces together according to specifications, blueprints or directions. Performs assigned work independently or in collaboration with other team members. Uses appropriate machinery safely to complete assigned projects in an efficient manner. Coordinates required shutdowns and startups of equipment based on specific maintenance schedules or on an as needed basis. Maintains records for scheduled maintenance and safety / technical training. Maintains records for work-in-process projects and completed projects. Maintains clean and orderly work space. Performs other related duties as assigned. Provide support to technicians in the field to help deliver a quality product / service to the customer. Attend training sessions to develop technical skills and safe working practices. Occasionally participate in different areas of the field including but not limited to Service, Troubleshooting, Estimating and Restoration.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
