Job Summary:
To provide outstanding shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment services for finished goods, inventory, materials, supplies, parts, and equipment at the assigned facility(s).
Job Responsibilities:
Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements, ensuring a high level of quality and timely delivery to customers. Receive materials and/or finished goods daily, verifying the accuracy and quality of materials received and ensuring appropriate documentation is present (e.g. packing list). Safely operate distribution equipment as the need arises. Successfully complete Thermo Fisher Scientific training requirements and strictly adhere to all ISO standards related to site Distribution, including Control of Documents and Quality Policy.
Nature and Scope:
Detailed instruction is provided for new assignments, and equipment training is coordinated through various methods.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 0-1 years related experience Proven track record to follow policies, procedures, and instructions independently Capability to operate powered industrial trucks at heights up to 24 feet Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. Basic digital literacy for ERP systems, Outlook, and shipping software
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in logistics Proficiency in operating PIT (powered industrial equipment) High School Diploma or proven experience
Working Conditions:
This role involves highly repetitive tasks, requiring standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs continuously. Occasionally, lifting up to 50 lbs with team lift procedures as needed. Handling hazardous materials may be vital. The work environment is moderately to highly noisy, and flexibility in working various schedules and shifts is crucial. Occasional local travel may be required.
