Job Title:
Warehouse Receiver Job Description The Warehouse Receiver plays a key role in ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately received, inspected, and recorded. This position is responsible for verifying delivered items against purchase orders and invoices, unloading trucks, organizing and storing products in the appropriate areas, and processing returns when necessary. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to lift and move heavy items up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to maintaining efficient and accurate receiving processes. Responsibilities Receive purchase orders along with invoices and packing lists and verify that all documentation is complete and accurate. Inspect deliveries carefully to ensure items match order, invoice, and packing list criteria in terms of quantity and quality. Receive and sign for deliveries in accordance with company procedures. Unload deliveries from trucks safely and efficiently, including lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs. Organize and store received items in the correct warehouse locations to support efficient inventory management. Process returns for incorrect, damaged, or unsatisfactory items in a timely and accurate manner. Update inventory systems with received items, ensuring that stock levels and item information remain current and precise. Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding delivery delays, discrepancies, or issues with received goods. Maintain accurate records of orders, delivery details, returns, and inventory adjustments. Follow warehouse safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe and orderly work area. Essential Skills High school diploma or GED. Previous warehouse experience. Ability to lift and move heavy items up to 50 lbs. Good communication skills to interact effectively with vendors and internal team members. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries and documentation accurately. Good understanding of warehouse safety regulations. Physical dexterity to perform unloading, moving, and organizing tasks safely. Experience operating in a warehouse environment. Skills and knowledge of data entry and inventory software programs. Computer experience using Warehouse Management Systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with warehouse management systems such as
SAP, ERP
systems, Oracle, or similar software. Experience working as a receiver or in a similar warehouse receiving role. Comfort working with inventory software and data entry processes. Why Work Here? Work is performed indoors in a typical warehouse setting, where adherence to safety procedures and proper handling of goods is essential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Philadelphia, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
