Job Description

DOT Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker Company Background:
American Producers Supply is an independent distributor of industrial, construction and oil field supplies to businesses throughout much of Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, and into Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Indiana. We have 16 locations to serve our customers. Corporate headquarters and the main distribution center are in downtown Marietta, Ohio. Branches are in Columbus, Sunbury, Cincinnati, Portsmouth, Toledo, and Lancaster Ohio; Huntington, Martinsburg and St. Albans, West Virginia; State College, and Pittsburgh, PA; Louisville and Glasgow Kentucky; Ferdinand, Indiana; and Wixom, MI. American Producers Supply Company is seeking a qualified candidate to join their team in Pittsburgh, PA . Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this position is responsible for various warehouse operations and assisting in delivering products to our customers as needed. Success in this position requires attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and a positive attitude.
DOT Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker Job Duties:
Assists in shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and checking in merchandise. Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards May assist in counting of physical inventory. Prepares parcels for shipping. Completes deliveries by driving truck or van to and from customers as needed. Maintains truck or van by completing preventive maintenance requirements, arranging for repairs. Maintains quality service by following organization standards. Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Assists in maintaining appearance of branch as needed. Clean warehouse, counter area, bathrooms, etc. Wear the proper safety equipment. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Physical Demands and Abilities Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh up to and exceed 100 lbs. Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance
Qualifications:
1-2 years previous experience in warehouse, delivery driving, or other related fields preferred. Experience driving a box truck. Current DOT medical card or CDL preferred. Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry Must be able to efficiently navigate basic computer functions. Forklift experience a plus Customer service driven. Must have a clean driving record. Ability to handle physical workload. Dependable Deadline-oriented Drug Free Workplace Must pass a Criminal background check
