Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Loader to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading shipments, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. Your energetic approach and attention to safety will help keep our distribution center running seamlessly, supporting timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of materials handling. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse distribution, heavy equipment operation, and logistics management while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Duties Load and unload goods using appropriate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes, adhering strictly to safety protocols. Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for accurate inventory tracking and order picking. Assist with order picking processes, including picker tasks, ensuring correct items are selected for shipping or storage. Manage shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Perform manual handling of materials, including heavy lifting, stacking pallets, and organizing stock within the warehouse. Maintain safety standards by following OSHA guidelines and participating in safety training sessions regularly. Support warehouse supervisors by participating in inventory management, cycle counts, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse distribution or related logistics roles with a focus on materials handling. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, crane systems, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Familiarity with warehouse operations including shipping & receiving processes and inventory management systems. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities accurately. Knowledge of safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards; mechanical knowledge is a plus. Prior experience in construction or with heavy machinery operation is advantageous but not required. Strong attention to detail when using RF scanners or warehouse management systems for order picking and inventory control. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely in a fast-paced environment.
