Material Support Worker | Shippensburg, PA Looking for a new career where you can stay active, learn new skills, and keep production moving? We're hiring entry level and experienced candidates , and no high school diploma or GED is required , with on the job training provided. Pay & Schedule Pay:
$17.00 to $19.65 per hour + $1.75 shift differential Pay is based on experience. 2nd shift is available , with overtime as required, typically on Fridays and Saturdays. What You'll Do As a Material Support Worker, you'll play an important role in keeping production running smoothly by safely moving materials, maintaining inventory, and making sure the right parts are available when needed. You'll operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, stackers, and CombiLifts while using computer systems to track inventory and verify orders.
Your responsibilities may include:
Identify, label, stock, and record materials and supplies Transport heavy materials throughout the facility using a forklift Pull materials based on production requirements and work orders Verify items and quantities on packing slips Receive and ship materials as needed Package parts and materials for safe shipment Sort materials according to destination Complete inventory cycle counts Respond to material requests from internal teams Prepare bills of lading and delivery forms Use the inventory computer system to track materials Verify materials match purchase orders Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment Lift up to 50 pounds repetitively What We're Looking For Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn are important for this role. You must be able to successfully complete forklift training and obtain and maintain an IMT forklift license. Manufacturing experience is preferred, but on the job training is provided .
