Material Handler- 3rd Shift (11:00pm-7:00am)

Overall Summary:

The Material Handler efficiently delivers materials and supplies using pallet jacks, high lifts, and power jacks.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

Utilize automated inventory system to locate materials and supplies. Document material transactions in the system; complete the material handling section of paperwork for warehouse returns Move processed material from workstations to the appropriate staging area. Ensure the accurate repackaging of leftover materials. Maintain a clean and safe work area; report any safety hazards immediately. Perform other (or other related) duties as applicable or assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:

Ability to read and write English; understand oral and written communications and follow directions. Ability to safely operate power equipment. Good mathematical skills. Team oriented. Detail orientated.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma/GED preferred, or commensurate experience relating to the job required. Computer and scanner experience. Previous experience using floor jacks, pallet jacks, high lifts, and/or power jacks preferred. Previous participation on a safety team and/or other safety training a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work 8 hour shifts, Monday-Friday. Ability to work overtime when needed. Standard and non-climate-controlled production environment; exposure to loud noise (PPE is provided). Ability to lift, carry and push/pull up to 35 pounds; occasionally up to 65 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, pivot, crouch, squat, kneel, and stoop for up to 8 hours.
