Windber, PA Pay rate starts at 17$/hr Job Description The General Laborer supports laser machine operations by assisting the laser operator with a variety of tasks on the production floor. This role involves cleaning, loading and unloading materials, monitoring equipment, and moving parts to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing processes. Responsibilities Assist the laser operator with day-to-day tasks to keep production running smoothly. Load and unload materials and parts into and out of the laser machine and other equipment as needed. Monitor the laser machine during operation to help ensure safe and consistent performance. Clean parts after processing to maintain quality and prepare them for the next production step. Move parts, materials, and finished products around the facility in an organized and safe manner. Clean and maintain work areas around the laser and press brake machines to support a tidy and efficient workspace. Support general production, assembly, and machine operating activities as directed by supervisors. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with machines and materials. Essential Skills Experience performing general labor tasks in a manufacturing or production environment. Ability to support machine operations, including loading and unloading machines. Comfort working around laser and press brake equipment and following safety procedures. Ability to clean parts and equipment with attention to detail. Capability to move materials and parts safely and efficiently within the facility. Willingness to perform a variety of tasks, including cleaning, assembly, and production support. Strong work ethic and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Flexibility to assist with different production tasks as needs change. Willingness to learn basic machine operating and production processes. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a well-trained team. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a clean manufacturing facility equipped with high-tech machines, including laser and press brake equipment. You will work on the production floor around operating machinery, performing tasks such as loading and unloading materials, cleaning parts, and moving items throughout the facility. The environment is organized and safety-focused, with an emphasis on maintaining clean work areas and supporting efficient production operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windber, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.55/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
