Job Duties Load and unload materials within a warehouse utilizing manual and powered industrial equipment. Stack merchandise onto pallets. Ensure all materials are labeled correctly. Prep material with shrink wrap and/or strapping to prevent shifting or damage to materials during transportation. Perform quality checks and complete documentation with results. Perform basic housekeeping activities such as stocking area is clean and organized, free from food, waste, trash, and any hazard that may cause injury. Participate in annual full inventory count. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse or material handling training is beneficial. High school diploma or equivalent. Experience Requirements Experience moving, organizing, loading, or unloading materials in warehouse or manufacturing environments. Ability to accurately identify products, labels, inventory locations, and shipping documentation. Knowledge of safe material handling practices and workplace safety procedures. Ability to operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as required. Strong attention to detail, organization, and dependable work habits. 1 year of forklift experience required. Preferred Qualifications Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution experience is preferred. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems is beneficial. Knowledge of inventory control procedures, warehouse documentation, or Lean warehouse practices is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and safe work habits are well positioned for success as a Material Handler. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive material handling tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely move products using manual or powered material handling equipment. Ability to work efficiently in warehouse or manufacturing environments while following established safety procedures.
