•and we believe that our people are the key to our success. Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Material Handler to join our operations team. In this essential role, you will move, store, and distribute materials and products within the facility. You'll support manufacturing and warehouse operations by ensuring materials are available where and when they are needed, helping keep our production running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities Material Movement:
Transport materials and components to and from workstations, storage areas, or loading docks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
Inventory Control:
Track material movement using scanners or inventory management systems; report discrepancies or shortages.
Receiving & Stocking:
Assist with receiving incoming shipments, checking for accuracy, and stocking materials in designated locations.
Kitting & Staging:
Prepare materials or kits for production based on work orders or pick lists.
Load & Unload:
Safely load and unload trucks and containers as needed.
Safety & Housekeeping:
Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
Team Collaboration:
Communicate with production, shipping, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate and timely material flow. What You Bring Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks (certification a plus). Basic computer or scanner knowledge for inventory tracking. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods. Commitment to safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules. Working Conditions Work is performed in a warehouse or manufacturing setting where safety equipment is required. This position may require standing, lifting, walking, bending, and operating equipment throughout the shift. Flexibility to work different shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed. Why Join Vertiv?
