Job Description

SUMMARY:
The Materials and Shipping Associate is responsible for executing all material transactions, packaging, and material handling activities in the assembly, warehouse, and shipping departments. The associate will support packaging shipments for both production and service shipments, removing completed production units off the shipping line and in and out of production work cells. Additionally, the associate will support line side materials delivery to assembly production lines. A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all quality levels are met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Unload items from shipping line, scan and tag cabs as needed, and place in proper locations Load/unload water test booth for assembly Load trucks needed for shipment Build crates per print for product needed for shipment Packaging of both production and service orders UPS assist Cycle count when time permits Assist assembly tugger route and other line side inventory deliveries
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Basic understanding of shipping procedures Forklift experience preferred Basic math skills Ability to use and read measuring tools (tape measure) Understands computer ready weight system Good communication and personable skills Good written communication skills
  • including legible writing Ability to inspect incoming and outgoing products to quality specifications Intermediate computer skills (MS Office Software and WI Computer System), Oracle Computer System Intermediate analysis and problem solving skills Previous OSHA Safety training preferred but not required Must have a valid driver's license Must be able to lift up to 40lbs unassisted
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED required
WORKING CONDITIONS/OTHER
Work Hours/Status:
The 1st shift includes Monday
  • Thursday 5am
  • 3pm. The 2nd shift includes Monday
  • Thursday 3pm
  • 1am with a shift differential of $3.00/hr. The weekend shift includes Friday
  • Sunday 6am-6pm for a total of 36 hours and added weekend shift differential of $4.
