Dock Hand

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Dock Hand to join our waterfront team. The Dock Hand will be responsible for assisting customers with boarding and disembarking from a variety of watercraft including pontoons, speedboats, kayaks, canoes, and tubes. This role includes helping with belongings, ensuring customer safety, and performing regular maintenance such as cleaning and fueling boats. A positive attitude and strong customer service skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist customers with boarding and exiting boats safely and efficiently. Help load and unload customer belongings onto watercraft. Provide clear safety instructions and basic boat operation guidance as needed. Clean and maintain boats daily, including wiping down surfaces, removing trash, and restocking supplies. Fuel boats and maintain fuel logs in accordance with safety protocols. Secure boats to the dock and monitor their condition while moored. Inspect watercraft for damage before and after rental use, reporting any issues promptly. Help launch and retrieve kayaks, canoes, and tubes, offering physical assistance when necessary. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dock area at all times. Assist with general marina upkeep and other duties as assigned by management.
