BERETTA U.S.A. CORP.
Beretta U.S.A. is currently looking for a dynamic Material Handler in Gallatin, TN.
JOB OBJECTIVE/ SUMMARY
The primary objective of the Material handler is to ensure the timely movement of product to meet demand schedules. The Material Handler must assist in coordinating and monitoring work order completion throughout the factory and ensure material is moved to where needed in a timely manner. The Material Handler is also responsible for supporting the Receiving and Shipping docks in a backup capacity when warranted.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Monitor work orders for finished goods and components throughout manufacturing in support of the Master Production Schedule. Expedite as required. Support replenishing of Kanban bins per standard work. Communicate any shortages. Pull statistical samples from receipts requiring receiving inspection. Communicate in regard to rejections and move all material to the designated quality hold area. Conduct cycle count inventories of components in all manufacturing areas as assigned. Investigate causes of discrepancies. Ensure accurate inventory transactions are performed in the ERP system. Pick, pack and ship aftermarket orders for Gallatin operations. Assist with other projects and perform other duties as assigned. Support the dock operators for absences or high workloads. Maintains a clean and safe work station.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is performed in an industrial environment. Requires ability to lift and transport 40 lbs.
QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES
Basic reading, writing and math skills. Computer skills, basic understanding of input and usage. Experience with an ERP system. Must be able to safely operate material handling equipment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
High school diploma.
