Job Description
Operating forklifts to load/unload raw materials and finished goods, ensuring safe and efficient warehouse operations, and maintaining a clean and organized work area .
Safe Forklift Operation:
- Operate forklifts and other industrial vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of forklifts
- Maintain clear visibility of the work area and ensure adequate clearance when raising, loading, and operating a forklift.
- Use horns at cross aisles and obstructed areas.
- Watch for pedestrians and observe speed limits.
Material Handling:
- Load, unload, pack, and unpack materials.
- Move materials within the warehouse or factory.
- Stack crates, pallets other materials.
- Pallet building and pallet picks.
- Move hazardous materials.
Warehouse Operations:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any damage to racks, equipment, or other safety hazards to the manager.
Other Duties:
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Experience operating forklifts and other industrial vehicles is highly desirable.Certifications:
Forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA certification) is often required.Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.Skills:
