Material Handler

Responsibilities Safely load and unload shipments using equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to accurately track inventory movements and update records in real-time. Pick, pack, and prepare orders with precision using pickers and other order picking tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting goods, and documenting transactions thoroughly. Handle heavy lifting tasks safely, including stacking pallets and organizing materials within the warehouse environment. Utilize heavy equipment such as cranes and clamp trucks for the movement of large or bulky items while maintaining mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues. Support warehouse distribution activities by maintaining a clean, organized workspace conducive to safe operations and optimal productivity. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse distribution or related fields with a strong understanding of warehouse operations. Hands-on experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RFID scanners, and shipping & receiving procedures. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to materials handling and heavy equipment operation. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting on equipment when necessary. Prior experience in construction or similar industries is a plus for understanding heavy lifting techniques.
