The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading materials, helping customers, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring the safe handling of goods. This role requires a strong understanding of yard operations, safety protocols, and equipment operation, including forklifts, skid steers, and wheel loaders. Prior loader or construction experience is highly valued. The Loader plays a crucial role in maintaining smooth shipping and receiving processes and supporting overall company productivity. Responsibilities Load and unload shipments using appropriate heavy equipment such as forklifts, skid steer, and wheel loader Assist customers with stone selections Assist with order picking, shipping, and receiving tasks to ensure timely processing of goods Handle materials safely and efficiently, including heavy lifting and materials handling tasks Maintain accurate records within our dispatching system Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure mechanical safety and proper functioning in compliance with OSHA standards Support yard distribution activities by organizing materials for shipment or storage Collaborate with store supervisors to optimize workflow and safety procedures Follow all safety guidelines related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling Qualifications Prior experience with loading, shipping & receiving, or construction environments preferred Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, skid steer, and wheel loader Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and inventory management This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, efficiency, and teamwork are prioritized.
