ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTIONSClean and prepare metal and various materials for welding.Assist in finishing parts, tanks, and pans by grinding, polishing, or painting.
Supply welders with materials for current and future projects.
Manage material flow and storage efficiently.
Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and telehandlers to transport materials and projects safely.
Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move and load materials.
Load trailers using a forklift.
Operate metal fabrication machines such as grinders, drills, and presses, and complete shipment paperwork.
Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and instructions to accurately create parts while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Assist in lifting and moving heavy materials as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to support workplace efficiency and safety.
Inspect and report on the condition of trailers and collection containers.
Comply with workplace safety regulations and procedures.
Assist in tank assembly.
Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of two (2) years of industry experience preferred.Proficiency in using electrical and manual tools (e.g., saws, squares, scrapers, grinders).Ability to safely operate heavy machinery and overhead cranes.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and drawings.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Knowledge of workplace safety standards and willingness to use protective gear (face shield, gloves, etc.).Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
Computer proficiency, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and QuickBooks.
Ability to stand for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
Forklift operation experience required.
