Job Description

Warehouse Associate Job Description The Warehouse Associate is responsible for all phases of preparing the furniture for delivery or customer pick up. This entails unboxing, assembly, inspection, and making any necessary minor adjustments to the product. This associate will receive, ship, and store products at times.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare and unbox the product to La-Z-Boy specifications Assist in the loading and unloading of furniture and accessories on and off trucks, which includes operating power equipment on occasion Occasionally move up to 350lbs on a two-wheel dolly Review the product against the paperwork to check for order completeness and accuracy Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse Receive all incoming products by opening and reviewing the contents for quantity and condition Understand internal control procedures for the process of receiving product against purchase orders and packing slips, and actions to reconcile Warehouse associates will be responsible for scanning furniture when receiving, moving, or loading into the computer system. Receive returned furniture from the delivery trucks and place it in the correct location. Ensure that all products to be sent back to the vendor is properly packaged and all corresponding paperwork is attached Comply with all safety regulations established by the company Minimal travel Other duties as assigned on a day-to-day basis
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Any combination of training and experience that is equivalent to graduation from high school Any experience in delivery, warehousing, receiving, issuing, packing, shipping, and /or storage of goods is preferred but not required An understanding of the proper methods and procedures used in safe receiving, storing, requisitions, shipping, and delivery. Basic knowledge of inventory procedures Self-management to demonstrate self-control and the ability to manage time and priorities Must be able and willing to work collaboratively and effectively with the team Goal orientation: energetically focuses efforts on meeting a goal, mission, or objective
