Warehouse Worker

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing inventory, operating heavy equipment, and maintaining a safe working environment. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform inventory management tasks including tracking and organizing stock levels. Operate various warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks safely and efficiently. Engage in materials handling including loading and unloading products from trucks. Execute order fulfillment processes including picking, packing, and shipping products accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to comply with OSHA standards. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing orders. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure efficient operations and adherence to safety protocols. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues as necessary. Assist in stocking shelves and organizing products within the warehouse for optimal accessibility. Skills Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution environments. Proficiency in inventory control practices and systems such as AS400 or similar software. Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with warehousing activities. Experience with order picking processes including shipping & receiving duties. Knowledge of packaging standards and procedures for various products. Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor is a plus but not required.
