MATERIAL HANDLER III - 2ND SHIFT
9248 Lampasas, Texas Warehouse / Material Handling Second Shift Regular Full-Time No
JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary We are looking for technically skilled candidates with excellent attention to detail for the position of forklift operator. Forklift operators are responsible for optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency, scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs, and managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment, among other duties. Forklift operators will need to transport valuable items, requiring diligence and good hand-eye coordination. Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items. Transporting materials to different locations within the plant. Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency. Managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment. Operating and managing technical equipment. Picking and wrapping orders for shipment. Adhering to safety management standards. Adhering to production schedules. Position Qualifications At least six-months to one-year of forklift experience. Must possess basic math skills and proficiently read and write in English. Ability to work with little supervision. Must be able to push, pull, reach in place, bend and use proper lifting techniques. Must have general knowledge of equipment used in designated area. Ability to comprehend Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) requirements and procedures. Ensures all procedures follow GMP's governmental regulations as well as the Company's policies and procedures. #INDLAM WORKING
CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend, and move about the work environment, plants, or offices. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms, climb, or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Lifting requirements are up to 75 lbs. Exposure to loud industrial-type environments is commonly found in plants. Varied temperatures from hot and humid to very cold.
