Job Description

Location (mandatory): Houston TX The Material Handler performs operations of the Supply Chain/Materials Management department with awareness and knowledge of the various areas of the operations in Goods Movement, Inventory Control, and Good Documentation Practices. The Material Handler will be assigned to various areas that also involves areas controlled and used for production. Over time, these areas will require cross training to gain knowledge of the complete operations for the site.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain general supplies and stock materials for daily usage by production team(s) Attain basic understanding and competency of SAP transactions directly related to core area duties Accurately enter a variety of SAP transactions (Material Movements) ensuring compliance with cGMP requirements and SOP's Prepare items for production use (i.e. wipe down materials for entry to the staging area) to include systematic transactions. Sustain inventory maintenance responsibilities among peers. Continue with ongoing required area training to increase knowledge and understanding. Complete training on the job related equipment. Complete on-going Employee Health & Safety (EHS) chemical awareness training Perform other duties as assigned
Skills:
SAP, material handling, supply chain/logistics
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience within Supply Chain/Logistics SAP experience preferred Basic computer knowledge including MS Office Suite programs Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow-up to meet critical deadlines Ability to work independently and as a team player
