Equipment Warehouse Technician Mansfield Oil Company life insurance, parental leave, paid time off, paid holidays, sick time, tuition reimbursement, 401(k), company vehicle United States, Texas, Odessa May 14, 2026 Mansfield Service Partners is looking for an Equipment Warehouse Technician in Odessa, TX. Essential Duties Receive daily work priorities from the Operations Manager or Supervisor to determine tasks requiring immediate attention.
Prepare tanks according to specifications outlined in rig out request forms for both new and existing customers.
Execute full cleaning process for tanks, inside and outside, including removal of old or damaged decals, surface preparation, and application of paint to above-ground petroleum tanks.
Stage tanks in the yard and organize the tank staging area by tank size and type to ensure efficient retrieval and dispatch.
Inspect tanks and related equipment prior to deployment, confirming all components (pumps, hoses, nozzles, fittings, lids) are in proper working order.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on yard equipment including tank farms, pumps, valves, and catch basins for drips and spills.
Diagnose and repair basic mechanical issues with yard equipment such as lube oil pumps and fuel system components.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including the warehouse and containment areas, free of trash, garbage, and spill hazards.
Submit daily tank inventory reports and support accurate equipment tracking.
Manage parts and supply inventory in the warehouse, including restocking shelves, monitoring stock levels, and communicating low inventory or reorder needs to the supervisor.
Clean up service-related spills promptly and in accordance with SH&E protocols. Other Duties Inspect gasoline and diesel dispensers for visible leaks on hoses and nozzles.
Inspect all storage tank lids to confirm they are locked and properly sealed.
Sample product tanks for fuel and lubricants as needed.
Identifies and reports customer service, equipment, and SH&E issues to supervisor.
Recognizes sales opportunities and communicates them to supervisor or other company personnel as directed.
May be deployed to support field service technicians during staff shortages, peak periods, or as an on-site helping hand - does not independently own service calls in this capacity.
Will drive a company vehicle to pick up equipment and complete deliveries as needed. Physical and Environmental Conditions This position is located in an outdoor and warehouse yard environment with frequent exposure to dirt and dust, noise and vibration, fumes and odors, and wetness/humidity. The employee may be frequently exposed to mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. This position may require occasional travel via company vehicle. The incumbent regularly lifts up to 50 lbs. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. This position does sometimes require extended hours or weekend work. Travel expectation is less than 5% under normal operating conditions. Minimum Education, Experience, and Certification High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license required.
One (1) year of mechanical experience (automotive, industrial machinery, valves, pumps) preferred.
Experience with fuel and lube pumps, nozzles, and fittings is a plus.
Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.
TWIC Card preferred (required if regularly deployed in field support capacity). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on yard equipment such as pumps, hoses, valves, and fittings using standard hand tools, and knowing when to escalate issues to a supervisor or field technician.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, procedures, and safety protocols consistently.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Strong attention to detail in equipment preparation, inspection, and staging.
Ability to work independently in a yard environment with minimal direct supervision.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.
