Job Description

Position Summary Under the direction of the Reaction Supervisor, Material Handler will help to organize storage areas and maintain inventory. Material handler will also assist operators with daily tasks to ensure no stops in daily production. The day-to-day tasks of a material handler may vary depending on the processes scheduled for that day. The Material Handler main task is to: Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Move products in and around the warehouse with forklift Driving the yard mule around the plant when necessary Load and unload packages Organize reaction raw materials in the most efficient way using forklifts Receive and check incoming scale tickets Sample Raw materials from drums, totes, and ISO containers Change filters and run multiple filtration processes Load waste into ISOs from tanks, totes, and drums Pull material for operators to run processes Document orders, materials, and any stock movements Be able to hook up and disconnect any trailer or railcar for unloading/drumming Must have thorough knowledge of all ISO production procedures and TCT Safety rules Perform plant cleanup standards tasks during and at the end of an operation or workday Properly label flush and partial drums Must be able to identify and secure all outside manifold lines Service the filter pots and record data Be able to interpret and follow special instruction per receiving report Must be able to identify damaged drums before applying labels and or/stenciling Verify the correct product name, code, and lot number to be drummed per the Production Run Knows how to properly load containers to standardize drums and totes in a safe efficient manner Knowledge of spill prevention and clean up control Exhibits and practices the Third Coast Way fundamental behaviors
Knowledge and Skills:
High School Graduate or GED desired but not required.
Work Experience:
Proven experience as a Material Handler, 1 to 5 years of experience working in a Warehouse setting or similar position. Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, yard mule, scissor lift).
Skills and Competencies:
Have full understanding of all Third Coast Safety rules Certification to ride forklift truck Must be able to work well in a team Ability to read, write and to follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends Knowledge of our quality policy and objectives Quality focused, strives for high level of accuracy and completeness Solid basic math skills Strong organizational skills, quality focus with ability to follow established SOPs, and GMPs Multitasking/prioritization skills and a sense of urgency, while maintaining SQE standards Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to use their hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The team member frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The team member is occasionally required to sit. The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift 25 pounds and occasionally move or manipulate drums weighing between 200400 pounds.
