Job Description
The Warehouse Sr Associate -The Warehouse Senior Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations to ensure accurate, efficient, and safe handling of materials, inventory, and shipments in support of Wiwynn's technology manufacturing operations. This role serves as a key operational contributor by performing advanced warehouse tasks, supporting inventory accuracy, assisting with training team members, and helping maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Provide guidance and training to new or less experienced warehouse associates.
- Assist supervisors with coordinating daily warehouse activities and workload priorities.
- Support cross-training initiatives to improve operational flexibility.
- Promote teamwork and adherence to operational standards.
Operational Control:
- Perform inbound and outbound warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and material movement.
- Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment in alignment with production and customer requirements.
- Verify material accuracy, labeling, packaging, and shipment documentation.
- Support production teams by ensuring timely delivery of materials and inventory.
Inventory Accuracy:
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions using Wiwynn's Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and discrepancy investigations.
- Ensure materials are properly stored, labeled, and traceable.
- Maintain organized, ESD-compliant, and hazard-free warehouse conditions.
Quality, Safety & Compliance:
- Follow Wiwynn safety policies, OSHA regulations, ISO requirements, and customer-specific standards.
- Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and warehouse inspections.
- Ensure proper handling of IT hardware and sensitive materials.
- Report safety concerns, operational issues, and quality discrepancies promptly.
Process Optimization:
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and present reports related to productivity, inventory status, and operational KPIs.
- Maintain accurate documentation to support audits and compliance requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience.
- Experience working in warehouses or manufacturing environments.
- Basic knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, IT, or related field.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), LMS- WMS systems, and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and inventory control practices.
- Ability to lead, train, and develop warehouse personnel effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 4-6 hours per shift).
- Ability to move throughout large warehouses and production areas.
- Frequent use of hands for data entry, documentation, and handling materials.
- Ability to operate handheld scanners, labeling tools, and warehouse equipment.
- Ability to bend, lift, and handle materials as required during daily operations.
- Ability to alternate between administrative tasks and floor supervision.
Work Environment:
- Warehouse, production, and office environments.
- Fast-paced, high-growth technology manufacturing setting.
- Frequent interaction with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams.
- Exposure to warehouse operations, including moving equipment and material handling.
- Moderate noise levels with required use of PPE as applicable.
- Occasional travel to other sites in El Paso, TX and Ciudad Juárez, MX as needed.
