POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Technician plays a critical role in supporting Reliable Healthcare Logistics warehouse operations by safely managing the flow of customer inventory from inbound receipt through storage and outbound shipment. This role executes daily receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipment staging activities while maintaining an orderly warehouse environment and following established SOPs and safety expectations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Inbound Receiving and Put-away- Receive inbound inventory by unloading, verifying counts, and checking visible condition against packing slips or BOL documentation.
- Label, scan, and transact receipts and inventory moves in the warehouse system to maintain accurate on-hand and location records.
- Put away inventory to assigned locations per SOP, maintaining organized storage and supporting FIFO or FEFO handling where required. Order Picking and Packing
- Pick items for orders using pick lists or RF scanning, verifying item, quantity, and location before removal from storage.
- Pack orders to SOP using correct packaging, labeling, and required documentation to meet customer and carrier requirements.
- Prepare and set orders for shipment by confirming completeness and staging product in designated outbound areas.
- Identify and report mispicks, shortages, or labeling issues promptly to prevent shipment delays and rework. Shipping Preparation and Staging
- Stage outbound shipments in alignment with daily cutoffs and pickup schedules to support on-time carrier handoff.
- Generate or apply shipping labels using shipping systems or carrier portals as required by SOP.
- Maintain clear dock and staging areas to support safe movement of product and efficient loading activities.
- Communicate shipment exceptions to the Facilities Manager to support timely resolution and customer service continuity. Inventory Organization and Warehouse Upkeep
- Maintain orderly inventory and warehouse organization by keeping locations accurate, aisles clear, and work areas clean.
- Perform general warehouse upkeep tasks including trash removal, organizing supplies, and maintaining designated storage standards.
- Support cycle counts or inventory checks as assigned, documenting variances and following authorized adjustment procedures.
- Follow SOPs for handling and storage to protect product condition and maintain consistent warehouse readiness.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Required:
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience, entry-level to early-career (0 to 2 years)
- Experience following written SOPs and completing routine warehouse tasks with consistent accuracy and reliability
Preferred:
- Experience in healthcare logistics, medical supply distribution, or other regulated warehouse environments
- Exposure to cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and discrepancy documentation
- Experience handling lot-controlled or expiration-dated inventory using FIFO or FEFO practices
CERTIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Required:
- Comfort with WMS or inventory system transactions and RF scanning workflows to receive, move, pick, and confirm inventory accurately
- Ability to follow safety practices and SOP-based work instructions in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Strong attention to detail for item, quantity, labeling, and location accuracy during receiving and fulfillment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to perform sustained standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the workday in a warehouse setting
- Ability to perform frequent material handling and lifting within site safety policy and using approved equipment as needed
- Ability to perform ongoing computer and scanner-based work and communicate by phone or in person for daily coordination and escalation
