Position Overview General concrete laborers assist in the construction of precast concrete sewer structures. Tasks are completed in a covered plant environment that is fast paced, loud/noisy, and open to outdoor elements including extreme summer heat and seasonal cold temperatures. This position works in areas with heavy moving equipment and hazardous chemicals, and the use of personal protective safety equipment is required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Pouring, spreading, leveling, and smoothing concrete materials. Applying surface treatments such as troweling, edging, and release agents. Preparing the worksite and assembling concrete forms. Loading and unloading materials, supplies, and work tools. Maintaining and adhering to strict safety standards. Maintaining a clean and organized facility and job site. Completing assigned tasks in accordance with production schedules. Assists in completing set up and cleanup tasks prior to and after maintenance work. Adheres to all O.S.H.A. safety standards, rules, and regulations including use of personal protective/safety equipment while on plant grounds Adheres to all company safety standards Performs other job responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements:
Qualifications Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting 50% of the time using a computer, keyboard and mouse. Ability to view computer for extended periods. No major lifting required. Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent 1+ years of relevant professional experience preferred Manufacturing industry background preferred Background in Civil engineering, Estimating, or Site Plan Creation preferred but not required Experience with digital drafting software preferred
