Meritus Texas, a leading supplier of full-range industrial gases, is seeking a Cylinder Material Handler to join theirteam in Terrell, TX. If you have a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail, Meritus Texaswants to hear from you! Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial gas experience is highly preferred but not required. This is a key role responsible for the safe handling, movement, inspection, sorting, and preparation of compressed gas cylinders throughout the facility. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and supporting efficient operations within the warehouse and fill plant. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial gas experience preferred but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong commitment to workplace safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic math and organizational skills.
Essential duties/responsibilities:
Load, unload, move, and organize compressed gas cylinders in designated storage areas. Sort cylinders by product type, ownership, testing requirements, and condition. Inspect cylinders for damage, proper labeling, and compliance with safety standards. Prepare cylinders for filling, shipment, customer pickup, and delivery. Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate cylinder tracking records. Ensure cylinders are stored, secured, and handled according to company and regulatory requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cylinder carts safely and efficiently. Assist with receiving and shipping activities as needed. Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations, OSHA requirements, and industry best practices. Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and inventory discrepancies to management promptly. Support other warehouse and plant operations as assigned. About the
