Job Description

Position Summary The Warehouse Parts Associate plays a critical role in the smooth operation of the dealership's parts department. This individual is responsible for receiving, organizing, storing, and distributing automotive parts and accessories efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and committed to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against invoices or purchase orders. Accurately log and label incoming parts into the inventory system. Conduct cycle counts and participate in full inventory audits as needed. Warehouse Operations Organize parts in designated bins and shelves for optimal accessibility. Maintain cleanliness and order in the warehouse at all times. Ensure parts are stored safely and securely to prevent damage. Order Fulfillment Pull parts for service department repair orders and retail counter sales. Package and ship parts orders to customers or other dealerships as required. Communicate any inventory discrepancies or backorders to the parts manager promptly. Customer and Internal Service Provide support to service technicians by ensuring timely parts delivery. Assist with walk-in customer parts pick-up when needed. Support parts counter staff during peak times or absences. Safety and Compliance Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety guidelines and procedures. Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or ladders as necessary (with proper certification/training). Report any hazards, damages, or violations immediately. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Valid Drivers License Previous experience in an automotive parts department or warehouse preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically active work throughout the shift. Familiarity with automotive parts and terminology is a strong plus. Comfortable using inventory management software and basic computer tools (e.g., scanning devices, tablets). Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus. Valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required. Skills and Attributes Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Dependable and punctual with a team-oriented mindset. Good verbal communication skills. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Working Conditions Primarily warehouse environment with exposure to temperature changes, noise, and occasional outdoor tasks. May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly rate.
