Job Description

Warehouse Compliance Specialist Chesapeake, VA Full-time $50,000- $70,000 based on experience Position Summary The Warehouse Safety & Compliance Specialist is a key driver in operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across warehouse operations. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining standard operating procedures, customer routing guidelines, packaging and labeling standards, and receiving/shipping procedures while supporting and promoting a safe, compliant and efficient warehouse environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in supply chain Logistics, Business Administration or related field preferred 3+ years' experience in warehouse operations, experience in a compliance role preferred Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), experience with RAMP strongly preferred Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Strong attention to detail with a track record of maintaining accurate records and documentation Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage warehouse compliance policies, procedures, and routing guides Maintain customer SOPs in alignment with ISO standards, Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) requirements and FDA regulations Responsible for tracking vendor compliance violations, chargebacks, damages and claims Conduct reoccurring audits to ensure compliance with established guidelines Investigate noncompliance issues and implement corrective action plans Support WMS process improvements to include EDI integrations, new customer set up, billing and WMS report validation Serve as a subject matter expert on Foreign Trade Zone and Bonded warehousing requirements Analyze Quality Error Reports (QERs) and provide actionable insights to leadership Prepares and presents concise and factual reports and recommends actions to resolve non-compliance Training Develop, analyze and report on training completion rates and warehouse employee training status Conduct training in alignment with training regulations and requirements Provide overview of compliance concerns and trends Partner with supervisors and Operations Managers to reinforce process adherence and close identified gaps Present findings to include outlining risks, corrective actions, unresolved issues and recommended next steps Develop training schedules to satisfy internal needs as well as local, state, and federal regulatory requirements Warehouse Support Serve as a supporting role to ensure efficient warehouse operations; to include but not limited to providing coverage for warehouse personnel if/when needed Responsible for initiatives related to continuous improvement by identifying workflow inefficiencies and recommending solutions Safety Serve as a supporting role to ensure efficient warehouse operations; to include but not limited to providing coverage for warehouse personnel if/when needed Responsible for initiatives related to continuous improvement by identifying workflow inefficiencies and recommending solutions
