Job Description

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 1.
Minimum of two (2) years of warehouse experience required. 2. Must possess forklift operator certification or be able to train upon hire. 3. Must hold a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a HazMat endorsement. Class A CDL is preferred. Candidates must be willing to upgrade their CDL classification if requested. HazMat endorsement assistance may be provided by the company. (Requirement does not apply to seasonal or part-time employees.) 4. Must successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review and FMCSA Clearinghouse background check. 5. Over-the-road (OTR) driving experience is preferred; training may be provided for qualified candidates. 6. Must be available to perform OTR trips as a backup driver for primary company OTR drivers. 7. Must be willing to participate in the company's Pyrotechnician Training Seminar and serve as a listed pyrotechnician on displays as needed. 8. Strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail are required. 9. Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively with individuals of varying personalities and communication styles. 10. Must be a team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a proven record of follow-through. 11. Must be available and willing to work occasional evenings and weekends as business needs require. 12. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively. 13. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage time efficiently. 14. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 15. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision while following instructions accurately. 16. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. 17. Must be eligible to obtain clearance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). 18. Must be at least 21 years of age. (Requirement does not apply to seasonal or part-time employees.) 19. Must be flexible and available to work altered schedules, extended hours, and varying shifts as business needs require. 20. Must be able to adapt to the company's peak operating seasons, including:
Summer Peak Season:
May 1 through July 15
Winter Peak Season:
November 15 through December 31 No Paid Time Off (PTO) requests will be approved during the Summer Peak Season. PTO requests during the Winter Peak Season may be approved based on workload demands and staffing levels.
JOB DUTIES
1. Oversee and manage all supply chain operations, including procurement, purchasing, inventory planning, and vendor coordination. 2. Load and unload all inbound and outbound shipments safely and efficiently. 3. Perform material handling duties in support of warehouse, production, and operational activities. 4. Participate in fireworks testing, show site setup, and display operations to gain familiarity with equipment and procedures. 5. Assist with transporting materials and equipment between company facilities, including the Radford location. 6. Perform Over-the-Road (OTR) trips as assigned by management, including serving as a backup driver when necessary. 7. Assist the Shipping/Transportation Supervisor with transportation-related activities, including vehicle pickups, deliveries, maintenance appointments, inspections, and fleet support as needed. 8. Pick up, deliver, and transport company-owned, leased, or rental vehicles as directed. 9. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other approved material-handling equipment. 10. Maintain accurate inventory records within the company's asset tracking and inventory management systems. 11. Receive Truck Packing Lists (TPLs) and accurately pick, pack, and prepare all required equipment for displays and projects. 12. Process TPLs and related documentation in the asset management system to ensure accurate equipment tracking and accountability. 13. Ensure all packed equipment is properly labeled with display names, job numbers, and other required identifiers. 14. Verify all equipment returns against TPLs and asset tracking records. 15. Ensure all equipment is properly checked back into inventory upon return from display sites or staging locations. 16. Report missing, damaged, or unreturned equipment to management immediately. 17. Inspect returned equipment for damage, wear, or maintenance needs. 18. Clean, service, and prepare equipment for future use following return from job sites. 19. Ensure equipment and materials are stored safely, securely, and in an organized manner. 20. Participate in warehouse organization, layout improvements, and process enhancements to maximize operational efficiency. 21. Ensure the safe and proper use of warehouse equipment and report unsafe conditions or practices. 22. Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance as directed by management. 23. Follow all required safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing assigned duties. 24. Assist the Electronics Department with testing, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and cleaning of electronic equipment as assigned. 25. Assist in the construction, assembly, repair, and maintenance of display equipment, support equipment, and custom set pieces. 26. Complete all required paperwork and electronic documentation, including checklists, picking lists, packing lists, TPLs, inventory records, inspection reports, and other required forms. 27. Cross-train in Electronics Department cleaning, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance operations as assigned by management. 28. Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional warehouse environment, including surrounding grounds and work areas. 29. Participate in physical inventories, cycle counts, audit counts, and inventory reconciliation activities. 30. Be available to work assigned fireworks displays when needed, including serving as a Driver/Pyrotechnician or in a Pyrotechnician-only capacity. 31. Support display operations, setup, teardown, transportation, and related field activities as assigned. 32. Comply with all company policies, procedures, work rules, safety standards, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. 33. Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. 34.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Must be able to sit or stand for 8-12 hours. 2. Must be able to traverse and access warehouses, display sites, and office areas as required.
