The Company:

HOFT) is currently recruiting Warehouse Associates to work in our Ridgeway, VA warehouse operations. Hooker Furnishings Corporation, in its 100th year of business, is a designer, marketer, and importer of case goods (wood and metal furniture), leather furniture, and fabric-upholstered furniture for residential, hospitality, and contract markets.
The Position:
We are looking for dependable individuals with strong attention to detail to join our warehouse team in Ridgeway, VA. This position will work in various warehouse areas based on business needs and will perform tasks related to receiving, storing, picking, and shipping furniture and materials. This role requires the ability to work independently and safely while operating warehouse equipment and handling products.
Responsibilities include:
Manually unloading furniture and materials from inbound trucks and containers Loading outbound trucks with products for customer shipments Operating a sit-down forklift to move and stage materials throughout the warehouse Using an RF scanner and warehouse management system to locate, scan, receive, and process inventory Verifying product quantities and condition during loading and unloading Picking and staging orders for shipment Receiving and putting away inventory in assigned warehouse locations Maintaining accurate inventory through scanning and proper documentation Keeping warehouse areas organized, clean, and safe Assisting in other warehouse functions as needed based on operational demands Candidates that will be a great fit will: Enjoy fast-paced, hands-on work Be able to work on their feet for the entire shift Be comfortable manually unloading trucks and moving furniture products Have experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse environment Have experience using RF scanners or warehouse inventory systems Possess strong attention to detail and accuracy Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly Why should you apply?
