This energetic position involves handling materials, operating heavy equipment, and supporting order fulfillment processes to keep our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently. Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, replenishment, and updating warehouse management systems (WMS) using RF scanners and AS400 systems. Assist with order picking and packing using various tools like order pickers and mechanical devices to fulfill customer orders promptly. Conduct shipping and receiving activities, ensuring all inbound and outbound shipments are correctly processed according to company standards. Support warehouse distribution tasks including stocking, materials handling, load & unload operations, and packaging to optimize workflow. Maintain compliance with OSHA safety standards by adhering to proper lifting techniques, heavy lifting protocols, and mechanical knowledge requirements. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors on inventory management strategies and participate in regular safety audits to uphold a safe working environment. Experience Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in inventory management systems such as WMS or AS400. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers. Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes like shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, stock control, and materials handling. Previous warehouse supervisor experience is advantageous for leadership roles or team coordination tasks. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety practices. Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues related to forklifts or other heavy machinery is preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during order picking & packing activities.
