Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Associate and become a vital part of our fast-paced distribution operation! In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing inventory, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring smooth warehouse distribution processes. Responsibilities Safely operate heavy equipment including reach trucks, cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse. Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, cycle counts, and updating warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 or RF scanners. Assist with order fulfillment by picking, packing, and preparing shipments for delivery using order picker tools and inventory management techniques. Ensure proper stocking procedures are followed to optimize warehouse space and facilitate efficient order picking and shipping & receiving activities. Conduct heavy lifting and materials handling tasks in accordance with OSHA standards to maintain a safe work environment. Support shipping & receiving operations by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, completing documentation, and coordinating load & unload activities. Maintain mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting basic equipment issues and perform routine maintenance as needed to ensure operational efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers with knowledge of inventory management systems. Valid certification for operating reach trucks, cranes, forklifts, or other heavy equipment preferred. Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols including OSHA regulations. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs or troubleshoot equipment malfunctions. Experience with warehouse management systems such as AS400 or RF scanners is highly desirable. Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting, stocking, order picking & packing consistently throughout shifts. Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, or manufacturing environments is advantageous.
