Truck Loader Unloader Job Description Join our dynamic team at the distribution center, where you will be assigned to one of two docks: Manual Loading/Shipping or Semi-Automated Unloading/Receiving. You'll be responsible for loading and unloading 18-wheelers using moveable conveyors, ensuring efficient cross-docking processes. This role is labor-intensive, requiring frequent movements on and off the backs of trailers while managing freight using a WMS terminal, scales, and scanners. Responsibilities Load and unload freight using moveable conveyors. Identify, separate, count, combine, and scan freight. Utilize proper loading techniques, placing heavy products on the bottom and lighter products on top. Enter information accurately on a computer. Ensure efficient cross-docking processes. Maintain a high standard of attendance and performance. Essential Skills 0-2 years of experience in manual labor, loading/unloading trucks. Material handling and order pulling. Proficiency in computer skills and warehouse inventory management. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift operation experience. Experience in shipping and receiving. Ability to lift up to 60lbs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sutherland, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.60 - $27.30/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
