Job Description

We are seeking full-time warehouse associates for 2nd shift at our warehouse in Brattleboro, VT. This position is a 90 day to hire position, at which time you will be eligible for benefits. No Holiday pay until after 90days The Warehouse Associate is responsible for assisting in various shipping activities to ensure that goods are shipped in a timely and efficient manner. They are tasked with packing, loading, and unloading goods, checking for damages, and helping maintain an organized and clean shipping area.
Warehouse Associate Shift:
2nd Shift 12p-10p Warehouse Associate 2nd shift $23.25 + $1.00 shift differential between 6:00 pm - 6:00 am
Warehouse Associate Responsibilities:
Assist in packing, sealing, and labeling materials to prepare them for shipment. Count, load, and unload goods from delivery trucks, verifying that they match the accompanying shipping documents. Check items for damage and take corrective action when necessary, such as notifying supervisors or documenting issues. Maintain cleanliness and order in the shipping area, adhering to safety regulations. Operate equipment such as modified hand trucks, dollies, and pallet jacks to move goods within the warehouse. Assist in taking inventory and documenting shipping and receiving activities. Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and company policies related to shipping and handling of goods. Support the shipping team and other departments to ensure the effective operation of the organization. Receive incoming shipments of bread and bakery products and conduct thorough inspections for quality and quantity. Ensure that all received products are properly labeled and stored in designated areas. Pull orders accurately and efficiently. Guarantee that orders are complete and packed securely to prevent damages during transit. Safely count, load, and unload bread/bakery products onto delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment. Place goods into their designated locations using equipment like a modified hand truck. Ensure that products received from production and/or other plants are accurately recorded.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 6 months of prior experience in a warehouse or shipping role. Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment, including modified hand trucks. Strong physical stamina to lift heavy items, bend, and stand for extended periods. Ability to lift 50+ pounds continuously. Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Capable of performing basic math skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment or independently. #ind
