Job Description
Karman Space & Defense is a leader in the rapid design, development, and production of critical, next-generation system solutions that align with the U.S. Department of War and its allies core mission priorities and meet the accelerating demand for access to space. Building on nearly 50 years of success, we deliver Payload & Protection Systems, Aero/Hydrodynamic Interstage Systems, and Propulsion & Launch Systems to more than 80 prime contractors supporting over 130 space and defense programs.
This role is part of our Hypersonics and Strategic Missile Defense business, which designs, develops, and delivers highly dependable missile systems for hypersonic and strategic missile defense missions. We provide integrated, mission-ready hardware that brings together multiple technologies into unified systems engineered to perform in demanding operational environments. Our tip-to-tail capabilities include payload protection and deployment systems, propulsion systems, aerodynamic interstage systems, separation systems, missile subsystems, shroud systems, launch systems, and payload integration solutions.
In this role, you help ensure materials, hardware, and equipment flow smoothly throughout the facility to support engineering, production, and quality operations. You coordinate closely with internal teams to receive, store, issue, and courier parts and equipment, keeping inventory organized and accessible in a fast-paced environment. Your work ensures teams have what they need, when they need it, to keep critical programs moving forward.
ResponsibilitiesWorks closely with Receiving to route packages according to receiving labels.
Couriers parts and materials throughout the facility to support engineering, production, and inspection needs.
Expedites parts through Receiving and Receiving Inspection to maintain workflow.
Moves packages between Receiving and Receiving Inspection.
Processes explosive material requests in accordance with established procedures.
Issues materials from inventory to support production jobs.
Issues hardware and equipment to engineering teams and maintains accurate records of issued and returned items.
Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming hardware and equipment.
Inspects and counts hardware and equipment, reporting defects, wear, or discrepancies.
Assists Shipping and Receiving with packaging shipments, unloading trucks, and related tasks.
Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills, including basic Microsoft Excel proficiency.
Strong time management skills with the ability to perform in a dynamic work environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
This position requires U.S. person status under U.S. export control laws, including U.S. citizens and nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees.
Preferred QualificationsAssociate's degree or higher.
Two or more years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment.
EPICOR experience.
Physical RequirementsFrequent use of stairs.
Occasionally lifts objects up to 95 pounds. The essential functions of this position must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
