Distribution Specialist•Warehouse/Equipment Functions Position Summary The Distribution Specialist•Warehouse/Equipment Functions is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of bulk inventory, pallets, and critical medical supplies throughout the facility using Material Handling Equipment (MHE). While this role requires core warehouse and equipment operation skills, it operates entirely within a dynamic, fast-paced hospital environment. This position directly impacts patient care by ensuring clinical teams have the tools they need exactly when they need them. Candidates must possess a heightened sense of urgency, excellent professionalism when interacting with medical staff, and strong situational awareness while navigating active hospital corridors where pediatric and adult patients are present.

High school graduate or equivalent required.
Experience:
Minimum of (6) six months of experience in supply chain, sterile processing, materials management, or an operating room environment preferred.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with automated inventory control systems or barcodes is a plus.
Core Competencies:
Ability to maintain focus and urgency in a high-stakes healthcare setting; strong situational awareness and compassion when working near patients and families.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Stamina:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours per shift) across a large hospital campus.
Mobility & Strength:
Ability to push, pull, and maneuver heavy mobile case carts and supply racks safely through busy hallways; frequent lifting, carrying, reaching, and bending.
Lifting Limit:
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs independently.
Infection Control:
Working in a controlled cleanroom environment with strict adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and infection prevention standards.
Environment:
High-volume, high-urgency clinical setting. Must be comfortable and cautious operating large equipment/carts in hallways shared with pediatric patients, visitors, and medical personnel.
Responsibilities Core Responsibilities Critical Supply Chain Support:
Verify materials and receipts documentation against purchase orders and input data accurately to maintain seamless hospital inventory.
Inventory & Equipment Preparation:
Package, process, and organize medical supplies. Clean, sanitize, and deliver essential medical equipment, including procedural carts, under strict timelines to meet urgent clinical demands.
Clinical Point-of-Use Delivery:
Replenish stock and supplies in hospital PAR locations and the central warehouse. This requires safely and respectfully navigating high-traffic clinical areas, hallways, and patient care units.
Interdepartmental Collaboration:
Act as a professional representative of the supply chain team, interacting positively with nursing, surgical, and clinical staff to support daily operations.
