Job Title:
Warehouse Worker Job Description Aerotek is hiring immediately! This role involves working as a general warehouse worker in a large auto parts distribution facility that serves both retail stores and global e-commerce customers. You will move between different warehouse sections, support various tasks throughout the day, and help ensure that orders are accurately picked, processed, and prepared for shipment. This position is full time offering competitive pay and benefits! Responsibilities Work across multiple sections of a large warehouse and move between departments as operational needs change throughout the day. Use pick lists and RF scan guns to accurately locate, pick, and stage auto parts for both bulk and e-commerce orders. Support the e-commerce operation by pulling specific items, bringing them to designated stations, and preparing them for packaging and shipping. Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, to move, load, and organize inventory as needed. Use computers to document work, update order and inventory information, and follow digital workflows. Maintain accurate inventory by following established picking, staging, and documentation procedures. Adapt quickly to changing priorities and perform a variety of warehouse tasks based on daily requirements. Walk extensively throughout the warehouse to complete assigned tasks and support overall workflow. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area in all sections of the warehouse. Essential Skills Previous warehouse experience in a distribution or similar environment. Experience with warehouse picking processes, including working from pick lists. Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and related warehouse equipment. Basic computer skills and comfort working with computer-based systems. Ability to use RF scan guns or similar handheld devices for picking and inventory tasks. Capability to move throughout a large warehouse and perform extensive walking during the shift. Willingness and ability to learn new tasks and be cross-trained across different departments. Flexibility to perform a variety of duties and adapt to changing assignments during the day. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in auto parts, distribution, or e-commerce fulfillment environments is beneficial. Comfort working with technology to document work and follow digital workflows. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, documentation, and order handling. Ability to work independently while also collaborating with team members across departments. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a large auto parts distribution warehouse that serves both bulk retail orders and global e-commerce shipments. You will work a weekend-based schedule from Saturday to Tuesday, with hours from 12:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The role involves extensive walking throughout the facility, regular use of RF scan guns, and interaction with computer systems to manage orders and inventory. You may operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as part of daily tasks. The environment is active and fast-paced, with frequent movement between different departments and work areas as priorities shift during the day. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Branford, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
